Tarangire National Park
Found in Manyara Region in Northern Tanzania, south of Lake Manyara. The 6th largest National Park in Tanzania covering about 2600 km square, with rich large elephant herds, made itself the destination with the highest population density of elephants in the country’s national parks (about 300 herds) hence the name ‘Home of the elephants’ delivered from.
Lies between the meadows of the Maasai steppe to the southeast and the Great Rift valley to the north and west. Permanently and ecologically potentially River Tarangire where the name of the national park came from, is the primary source of fresh water for wild animals in the Tarangire Ecosystem and contributes to the mini-wildlife migration during the dry season when most of the park areas.
